December 17, 2015

We are on Wednesday schedule!!

Warm Up:
  • NO DOG- work on your writing in Schoology
In Class:

Objective: I will be able to read and collect evidence from the text, placards and station materials to write an essay that informs the reader about the ways humans interact with the Great Lakes.

In Schoolgy - Complete the following using your 5 Paragraph Essay Organizer- USE THIS AS YOUR FINAL! (unless I talked to you otherwise!)

 1. Copy your body paragraphs from the summaries.  If you have not finished the summary, then you will just write your body paragraph here!! THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE WRITING AND WHAT I AM GOING TO GRADE THE HARDEST!!!!!
     A. Each body paragraph needs the following: 3 directly quoted facts from the book, placards, station materials or a website of your choice. (You need both positive and negatives of human impact on the Great Lakes) These need to be in "quotation marks" and be cited like this (G.A., pg 70) (Placard, 4C) (SM, 4B) (website and add the link)  You can keep the 3 positives and 3 negatives as this might earn you a 4!
     B. Each piece of evidence you need to explain or expand.  Tell me more about that directly quoted piece of evidence.
2. Write your intro, see the board for an example.  It should have at least 4 sentences. (THIS IS NOT A HUGE PART OF YOUR WRITING GRADE! JUST LOOKING FOR IT TO BE THERE!)
3.  Write  the conclusion! (THIS IS NOT A HUGE PART OF YOUR WRITING GRADE! JUST LOOKING FOR IT TO BE THERE!)

Begin 5 themes presentation in schoology- add slide to your original about the Great Lakes! Will be due next year!

Homework:

**IF YOU DID NOT FINISH WORK IN SCHOOLOGY GREAT LAKES FOLDER; YOU MAY WORK ON FOR THE BREAK! IT MUST BE DONE BY MONDAY, JANUARY 4TH, BEFORE 5PM, SO I CAN GRADE BEFORE THE DEBATE ON JANUARY 5TH!!
